Yarn Along

I'm finally adding another post and, of course, it's a Yarn Along with Ginny over at Small Things. It will have to be short and sweet because the kids won't allow time for anything else.

Today, I am finishing up a Molly Bubble Romper for a sweet friend's new baby girl who should be arriving any day now. I have been really happy with this simple little pattern and think I'll eventually knit up a couple more for my girls' dolls.

I am currently reading a wonderful book called The Dirty Life and dreaming of living the same kind of life. The author gives up city life in Manhattan to start a farm that eventually runs as a CSA, but provides a WHOLE diet of meat, eggs, milk, fruits, and vegetables. I wish I could find one of those! It would save a TON of driving.

In that same vein, I plan to start Real Food on a Real Budget soon (that's the book that is hiding back there). I am hoping it can help me manage this whole *feeding my family* thing without losing my mind.

Well, back to day number 32 of 100+ degree temps. The Oregon trip is only two days away so I can do this! And here's a photo of Cranky Teel. He is living in a wrap right now and refusing to sleep at night. But that's been the story for almost a year and a half now. Crazy kid.

  1. i like the colors of your bubble romper - it really looks sweet. i think i'll have to try this real food on a real budget too as we're on one! your little crazy kid reminds me of mine who didn't sleep through the night until he was 2 and a half. after 2 years of good sleep, i'm pregnant with the next and crossing my fingers it's a sleeper!

  2. Thank you! The colors are prettier in real life. :-/ I'm down to my point and shoot and I just can't seem to figure out the right setting for anything.

Two and a half, huh? Yikes! This is my first non-sleeping child and it's throwing me for a loop. I'll cross my fingers with you!
